When we started designing infrared lamps for bathrooms, we realized the biggest problem wasn’t the heat. It was the light. Most standard short-wave lamps are basically spotlights. They’re harsh, they’re blinding, and if you’re bathing a baby, that kind of glare is just too much for their eyes. Nobody wants a relaxing bath to feel like an interrogation. So, we changed how the light works. Keeping it soft on the eyes We use special coatings and a different filament mix to filter out that aggressive, high-frequency light. By shifting the energy into the medium and long-wave range, we keep the warmth but lose the glare. You still get that deep, cozy heat soaking into your skin, but you don’t have to squint. It’s a soft glow instead of a blinding white flash. The build Bathrooms are wet, steamy messes. To handle that, we tucked the lamps into waterproof casings so moisture doesn’t get inside and wreck everything. We also use tempered glass that can take the heat without cracking. We also spent a lot of time on the wattage. We didn’t want a sudden, aggressive blast of heat that might burn someone. Instead, we aimed for a steady, comfortable warmth that just stays put. A few things to keep in mind Here is the trade-off: because we’re filtering out that harsh light to protect your eyes, the heater might not feel as instant as an industrial-strength lamp. That means you’ve got to get the mounting height just right. If you hang them too high, the heat loses its punch before it reaches you. One last tip? Put them on their own dedicated circuit. It prevents those annoying voltage drops that make the filaments flicker. It just makes everything run smoother.
