When you’re designing a heater for a bathroom or a baby’s nursery, you have a weird problem. You need a ton of heat, but you can’t have a light that feels like staring into the sun. Nobody wants to be blinded while stepping out of the shower, and it’s even worse for infants whose eyes are way more sensitive than ours. The trick is in the light. Most quartz heaters just blast every kind of radiation they can find. It’s messy. To fix this, we tweak the quartz glass with specific dopants and use a special alloy for the filament.
